Privacy Policy
Effective Date: July 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how the "Website to PDF" Chrome Extension handles user information. Built on a strict Privacy-by-Design architecture, all document conversion occurs entirely inside your browser. We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal data, browsing history, or documents to any remote server.
1. Zero Data Collection & Local Processing
The Extension operates 100% locally in your client browser memory. No page content, converted HTML, personal info, or browsing history is ever logged or uploaded to our servers.
2. Student Data Privacy (COPPA & FERPA Compliance)
Engineered for safe deployment in K-12 school environments and Chromebooks. Fully compliant with COPPA (no data collected from children under 13) and FERPA (academic records remain private on local machines).
3. Permissions Justification
Permissions like activeTab, scripting, and downloads are used strictly to strip ads, format clean layouts, and save PDF files directly to your device storage.
4. Cloud Integrations & Third Parties
Optional direct exports to Google Drive or Notion communicate directly between your browser and official service APIs without passing through intermediary proxy servers.
5. GDPR & CCPA Compliance
Because we process no data on remote servers, you maintain complete ownership. Uninstalling the Extension completely purges all local states and preferences.
6. Contact & District Allowlist Inquiries
For school district IT inquiries, allowlist vetting, or privacy verification, contact our support team directly via our Chrome Web Store portal.
